UNIFORM BYLAWS FOR

TEXAS ALLIED MASONIC DEGREES ASSOCIATION

The name of this Association shall be Texas Allied Masonic Degrees Association and its Jurisdiction shall be Texas.

 

There shall be one regular meeting of this Association each year, which shall be the annual meeting, and this shall be held during the month of June. Special meetings may be called by the President.

 

The elective officers of this Council shall be the President, First Vice President, Second Vice President, Treasurer and Secretary. The officer line will be progressive (except that of the Treasurer and Secretary), with the newly elected Second Vice President entering the line. The officers shall be elected at the annual meeting. Officers shall be installed at the annual meeting or as soon thereafter as practical.

 

Participation by Brethren shall be predicated on membership in good standing in a Texas Allied Masonic Degree Council and a Chapter of Royal Arch Masons.

 

A registration fee for the annual Texas AMD Day will be determined at each annual meeting. The purpose of this fee will be to cover costs of lunch, administrative costs, i.e. postage, paper, etc, and facility use. The Secretary or Treasurer will be responsible for the collection and disbursement of such fees.

 

The Bylaws may be amended, altered or repealed by a two-thirds vote of the members at any meeting of the Association provided the Secretary has notified each Council in advance of such intentions. Amendments or changes will become effective upon approval.

 

These Bylaws have been approved by Texas Allied Masonic Degrees Association, on July 15, 2006.

These Bylaws were amended on July 18, 2009. The office of Secretary-Treasurer was split into 2 separate offices.

These Bylaws were amended on July 17, 2010. The annual meeting month changed from July to June.

These Bylaws were amended on June 18, 2011. The office of Vice President was split into 2 separate offices of First Vice President and Second Vice President. The Secretary position is no longer progressive.
