WHAT ALL MASTER MASONS SHOULD KNOW ABOUT THE AMERICAN YORK RITE

The American York Rite Consists of Four Distinct and Separate Sovereign Masonic Bodies:

  • Symbolic (Blue) Lodges, which are governed by Grand Lodges to which they are obedient.
  • Chapters of Royal Arch Masons, which are subordinate to Grand Chapters.
  • Councils of Royal and Select Masters, which are under the control of Grand Councils.
  • Commanderies of Knights Templar, which are governed by Grand Commanderies under the authority of The Grand Encampment, Knights Templar of the United States of America. More...
