Dock Franklin Dixon, Jr. was born on the 23rd of September, 1930, in Waycross, Georgia the first child of Dock Franklin Dixon and Edith Bernice Monroe. He was reared in Pierce County, Georgia and attended Mershon Elementery School; he then attended Blackshear and Patterson High Schools graduating from Patterson High School in 1948. Dock then pursued higher education at South Georgia College (Junior) graduating with a diploma in 1950. In the fall of 1950 he enrolled at Valdosta State College. As a second quarter Senior in January 1952, he entered the United States Air Force as an Aviation Cadet (pilot trainee), where after 13 months he won the Silver Wings as a Pilot and was Commissioned a Second Lieutenant. After 20 months serving with the 15th Tactical Reconnaissance Squadron in Korea and Japan, he returned to the Continental United States and in April of 1955 he married Dorothy Virginia Walker of Tampa, Florida. In February of 1956 he separated from the USAF and returned to Georgia and enrolled at the University of Georgia School of Veterinary Medicine and graduated with the Doctor of Veterinary Medicine Degree (DVM) in 1960. During the summer of 1958 Dock returned to Valdosta State and received the BS degree. In September of 1960 he returned to the USAF (Veterinary Corps) and in the summer of 1962 he was accepted into Graduate School, a joint program between the School of Aerospace Medicine and Texas A&M University, receiving the MS Degree in Laboratory Animal Medicine in January 1965. He is also a Diplomate of the American College of Laboratory Animal Medicine. Dock retired from the USAF Veterinary Corps as a Lt. Col. in September 1976. Dock and Virginia are members of Gaddis Memorial United Methodist Church. Dock and Virginia are in their 54th year of marriage and have 3 children and 8 grandchildren. Masonic History

Dock was greeted a Select Master in Kerrville Council No. 240 on 17 May 1986, TIM 1991-92, Order of the Silver Trowel 10 August 1991, Grand Council Committee on Credentials 2001-03, Grand Council History Committee 2007-08, DDGM of Grand Council 2007. Super Excellent Master Degree.
